Ingredients

Turkey
  • 1 turkey breast (bone-in, skin-on) about 4-6 lbs
Garlic Herb Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Roasting Pan
  • Meat Thermometer

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Loosen the skin of the turkey breast and spread half of the herb butter underneath the skin.
  4. Rub the remaining butter over the top of the turkey.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for about 1 hour 15–30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Basting during roasting helps keep the turkey moist. You can add lemon, onions, or broth to the pan for extra flavor.
